UPDATE FROM THE ROAD!
Hey guys,
Just a quick note from your boys in LAS. It's so rad to be back out touring the US again. And even better to be back in the north-east, where it all began for us in August 2009 with Creed.
We kicked off this tour with a bang, doing a radio interview/performance in Albany, NY. It was our first ever on-air performance in the US, so thanks so much for having us guys, it'll go down in history.
The first show of the tour for us was that night in Albany at the Armory. The guys in Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd and Skillet (and their crews) were all so f#cking cool to us, it's awesome to meet successful people who are rad dudes as well. It was amazing getting back on that big stage again, and we loved meeting you all at the signing table afterwards. Thank you guys so much for supporting us!
Then we rolled up to Newhaven, CT and visited a couple of independent record stores. In an age of downloading and colossal retail chains it was great to meet some people keeping the dream alive. I used to spend my nights and weekends in local music stores growing up in New Zealand, they have such an inspiring vibe. So kudos to these people for keeping it going, please support record stores as much as you can.
From there we hauled ass to Springfield, Mass where we gave an unplugged performance to the folks at the rock station there, the LAZER. That was heaps of fun and they informed us that Dr Seuss came from Springfield. You learn something new every day...
Right now we're in Boston, and I'm trying to track down some tickets for the Celtics game tonight. But more than likely we'll hit up some local pub and catch the game over a few pints and Jacks.
Can't wait to play the House of Blues in town tomorrow with Shinedown/Puddle of Mudd/Skillet. If you saw us in Mansfield with Creed in the summer please come over and say hey, we'll be at our signing table and love seeing you guys again.
I wanna give a quick shout out to Line 6 and Fender for hooking us up with the instruments and amps you guys are hearing in our radio performances. As a player it's a dream come true to be endorsed by top brands like those guys!
We'll be in touch in a few days so please keep in eye out for these blogs. We're also gonna post some video and audio clips of the acoustic performances. Thank you guys so much for all your support, it means more to us than you could ever imagine.
